The band-mates of [lastfm]Runner Runner[/lastfm] will release their self-titled debut album on December 7th. The album’s first single “So Obvious” is out now.  Runner Runner’s Ryan Ogren, Nick Bailey, Peter Munters, Jon Berry and James Ulrich gathered in the Discover studio to give the world a taste of their forthcoming album.

While the individual members of the band had been on the music scene for years., the group only formed in 2008. At that point, Ryan, Nick, Peter and James were in the band [lastfm]Over It[/lastfm]. They added Jon and changed the band name to Runner Runner. I sensed it that day in the studio, based on their performance and the way they carried the interview, they learned a lot in a short time.[pullquote quote=”It’s great that we found people who believe in our music.” credit=”Ryan Ogren, on the partnership with C.E. Music, Capitol Records and MRV Records”]

They collaborated with producer Dave Darling for their debut. The music legend has worked with [lastfm]Tom Waits[/lastfm], [lastfm]Jack Johnson[/lastfm] and [lastfm]Brian Setzer[/lastfm]. Runner Runner’s album will be released through a partnership with Capitol Records, C.E. Music (a new label formed by David Letterman’s Worldwide Pants Inc.) and Jack Ponti’s MRV label.

Speaking of Letterman, the band will make their debut appearance on “The Late Show” on September 29th. Want see the show and have dinner with the band? Click here: and enter for a chance to win a trip to the Big Apple to take this all in.
