Pitbull was in good spirits yesterday after an online prank landed him in Kodiak, Alaska, for a performance. During his trip the rapper took to Twitter to share photos with fans.

Earlier this summer, journalist David Thorpe thought it would be fun to exile Mr. Worldwide to Kodiak after he revealed his promotional campaign with Walmart and Sheets energy strips. The main city off Kodiak Island, Kodiak is only accessible via ferry or airplane.

The campaign took place on Facebook, where fans could pick the Walmart of their choice Pitbull would perform by liking their store. Thorpe decided to get involved and ended up getting the rapper exiled to the remote location in Alaska as a prank. Although it only has a population of 6,000, Kodiak’s Walmart page received over 65,000 likes.

We suggested a few items Pitbull should carry in his suitcase to the cold state, but never anticipated adding bear repellent to the list. Both Pitbull and Thorpe documented the day on Twitter.

Among his many photo uploads, Thorpe revealed what his first introduction to Pitbull was like.

“Just met Pitbull. He shook my hand and said “Keep bulls****ing. Next thing you know we’ll be on the moon.”

All in all, Pitbull was a good sport and expressed his love for Kodiak on Twitter.
