Melanie’s Free & Frugal Fridays With Pittsburgh Frugal Mom

Can you believe it is the FIRST weekend of May?  Where is 2014 going?  As a Mom, I know I’m overwhelmed with events in May and June.  Dance recitals, graduation parties, softball, baseball, birthday parties, work events…well, you get the picture.  So, if you would like to maybe slow down (if you have a free few days/day or weekend) here are some events you can enjoy.

First, let us tell you that Pittsburgh Frugal Mom tells us all about the SAVINGS in and around the city.  Look at her amazing website here.

Here are the events:

There is a FREE walking tour!  The Penn-Liberty cultural district has it for you! It is today!  Enjoy it.  It starts at noon and it looks like you have to register.  Look at the event here.

How about this for the kids and family fun!   Look at the options here….tabletop gaming,  PowerPoint Basic, Puzzle Saturday, Kids Create: cardmaking class, Lego Day and more free at your local branches of your Carnegie Library.  If you want to know which area has the FREE event click the link here.  Each day and event is different and the times too!  Look at the site.

How about some free time for the Moms while the kids have fun on May 8th?  South Hills village and Simon malls helps you out with their kidgits helps!  The event on May 8th is from 5-8pm.  Look at the Kidgits info here.

After all the events and craziness of the next few months, you may need a beer sampling!  The Pine Market District has it for you on Saturday, May 3 5-7pm!  It is a very FRUGAL price too!  Look at the info here.

On Sunday, May 4th at the South Hills Market District there is an organic gardener event!  Yea!  Thanks to our sister station friends at KDKA you can have fun on Sunday!  Look at it here.  It starts at 9:30am.

Remember we (100.7 STAR) are not affiliated with any of these events or the websites.  We just like to pass along the fun and free and frugal!

ALSO, this Sunday is the Pittsburgh Marathon and a Pirate game AND a Penguin game at night!  Be safe and try to park 950 miles away to avoid congestion.  Just teasing.  Gotta love our city!
