Tracy Morgan is coming back to television.

Saturday Night Live has just announced the first three hosts of its fall season, and he is among them—his will host the comedy institution on October 17. According to the New York Times this will be his first announced performance since he was badly injured in a car crash last year.

He was riding in a van that was struck from behind by a Walmart truck, and sustained life-threatening injuries. In June, he appeared on NBC’s Today show and promised that he’d do his best to get back into comedy.

“When I’m there, you’ll know it,” he wrote. “I’ll get back to making you laugh. I promise you.”

The other two announced hosts are also big news—world-conquering pop star Miley Cyrus will kick off the season with an episode on October 3. Next up will be comedian and “Trainwreck” star Amy Schumer on Oct. 10, followed by Morgan on the Oct 17.
