On Monday, coach Christina Aguilera shocked many when she cut Jesse Campbell from her team during the instant eliminations. Jesse was widely considered to be the front runner of the entire competition.

Tuesday night, America got to weigh in, voting to keep one contestant from both Team Christina and Team Blake. The 4 bottom artists, however, had to sing for their lives in hopes that their coach would save them.

The show included a live performance from The Wanted and a special announcement from Justin Bieber himself, it’s safe to say that last night was jam-packed with drama.

Host Carson Daly shared how he felt about last night’s results episode to AMP/Los Angeles, saying, “‘I need a name, I need a name, I need a name.’ I went to bed last night with that going on in my head…what you don’t know is that in my left ear I’ve got NBC saying, “Credits are rolling…get a name Carson, get a name!’ What do you want me to do? Do you want me to walk down to where Blake is sitting and put my hand down his throat into his soul and pull out Erin Willet or RaeLynn’s name?”

TEAM CHRISTINA AGUILERA:

In somewhat of a surprising move, America chose to keep opera singer Chris Mann on Team Christina.

This meant Ashley De La Rosa and Lindsey Pavao had to battle it out to make the top 8.

Ashley went with Lady Gaga’s “You And I” as her last chance performance and it was mostly well-received by the coaching panel.

Adam Levine felt it wasn’t the best he’d seen from the 18-year-old, but nevertheless, she had made him a believer. Blake Shelton seconded Levine’s praise, saying he would pick Ashley even though Lindsey had yet to perform.

The tears really began to flow once Lindsey Pavao took to the stage to sing Mike Posner’s “Please Don’t Go.” Pavao completely broke down at the end of the song and even Christina couldn’t hold back her emotions.

While fighting back tears, Christina called Lindsey’s performance “vulnerable” and “very powerful.”

Despite the advice to the contrary from the other coaches, Christina went with her heart and saved Lindsey Pavao.

TEAM BLAKE SHELTON:

Then, it was on to Team Blake. Carson announced that Alicia Keys’ back up singer Jermaine Paul was safe for the week, so RaeLynn and Erin Willett prepared for what could have been their final performance on The Voice.

Erin Willett got the entire crowd up on their feet with her rendition of “Proud Mary.”

Christina Aguilera loved Erin’s energy and called the whole thing an “amazing effort.”

RaeLynn stuck to what she does best…straight up country. She sang her heart out to The Band Perry’s “If I Die Young.”

There wasn’t much time for the coaches to give her feedback, but Adam Levinesaid he wasn’t a huge fan of the song choice and that he would’ve coached her differently if she had been a part of his team.

Blake was clearly conflicted when it came down to decide who to save. Erin’s powerful vocals always bring down the house, but Blake also had to consider his special country connection with RaeLynn.

After Carson asked him several times to give him a name, he finally settled on saving Erin Willett.

In the midst of all this drama, Justin Bieber visited The Voice to deliver a few very special announcements.

He revealed that his upcoming album Believe will be released on June 19 and that he will return to The Voice to perform “Boyfriend” live in a few weeks.

To tide everyone over until then, Bieber debuted an extended clip of his “Boyfriend” music video as well.

In the process of recording the album, the band unanimously decided that they wanted brightly colored graffiti associated with the “Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall” video. What they didn’t know at the time is how big a part the bold style would play in the album art, videos, tour, merchandise and website. The theme dreamed up by Coldplay and executed by British street artist, Paris, is so big that it will soon be traveling with the band to stadiums around the world.

In an interview for Coldplay’s website, Paris explains the project’s humble beginnings.

How did you first get involved with Coldplay?
“For the last few years I’ve been involved with decorating The Park area at Glastonbury Festival. Misty and Reg run that… I think the band were putting out the word that they were looking for a graffiti artist. And I think [Glastonbury co-organizer] Emily Eavis actually recommended me first. I just got a phone call out the blue from Misty asking if I’d like to work with a band… I wasn’t told who they were. But then I turned up at the studio and saw some flight cases with Coldplay written on them.”

Were you a fan of Coldplay before you became involved?
“I loved Yellow back around the time I was at university. And I saw them at Glastonbury a long time ago. But I don’t really follow music that much, so I didn’t realize how absolutely massive they’d become in the last ten years.”

You painted the stage sets for the tour.
“Yes. That came really quickly off the back of the video. We did a few drapes – there was a smaller one for the Q Magazine shoot, I think – and then they started sending us stages and bigger drapes and it started growing and growing. We were getting pianos and guitars and all sorts.”

The “Every Teardrop” video looks like a big job.
It really was. It was a very fast turnover too. I had a meeting one day with Mat Whitecross at the site, Millennium Mills, and we had a walk around. He had a vision very early on and I had a team of about five and all of us had five or ten runners to help us. We were told what had to happen – like the pulsing heart – but how we did it was up to us. So my girlfriend, Milk, worked on animating that heart. It was two or three days of non-stop work. The [fluorescent] room took at least a day to create.

Are you working on the stadium tour now?
“Well, we’ve created an incredible amount of work already. There are lots of pieces. And some of the work for things like the Grammys and the X Factor. So I’m holding my breath and it won’t surprise me if I get a last minute phone call. I’ve been at Heathrow several times, painting things to be sent off to wherever, with like a day’s notice. It’s incredible. So I’m just ready to do whatever, wherever.”

It’s a pretty amazing commission to get.
“Oh, it’s the ultimate dream job. If you’d asked me last February what I’d have done by the time 2011 had finished, I could never have guessed it in a million years.”

Co-written with pop songwriter-producer and American Idol mentor Rodney “Darkstar” Jerkins – who also wrote for Justin Bieber‘s upcoming record – “Big Hoops” opens with a grinding groove, accompanied by Furtado’s kinetic vocal hook that will surely become the new jam for every lady prepping for the club, “The bigger the better/the bigger the better/the bigger the better/the better the bigger…” But this is not a song for hooking-up. It’s about the uniquely feminine power of being dressed to the nines, looking and feeling incredible and heading out on the town with your bestest girlfriends: “I don’t wanna talk about sex, I wanna express myself tonight,” Furtado sings.

The vibe of this track enforces her own thoughts on her latest collection of songs. “This album is all about positivity, youth, good energy, and the relentlessness of the spirit.” Furtado said via her website. “I want (people) to jump, dance, scream, laugh, cry, love, and vibe to it, and to turn it up very loud everywhere.”

The coolest thing about “Big Hoops” is that while it is definitely a banger, it also highlights Furtado’s precocious musical nature and pays homage to the genre’s stylistic forebears. Just 40 seconds shy of the track’s end when she speaks “Oh, I thought this song was over…” we break into a drum ‘n bass montage straight out of Goldie‘s London garage from the mid-nineties, elevating “Big Hoops” to a frenzied peak that will find you reaching for liquid refreshment or and the repeat button.

“Big Hoops (The Bigger The Better)” is available everywhere today; The Spirit Indestructible is expected on June 19th.

The “Forbes 5″ list, which was released yesterday, included an elite grouping of five rappers with big bank. This list calculates overall net worth, unlike the previous “Cash Kings” lists, which compiled the year’s earnings.

When all the chips were counted, Forbes tallied Diddy’s worth at $550 million, crediting his deal with Ciroc vodka, his new cable channel Revolt, his Sean John clothing line and other lucrative ventures, with setting Combs on his way to becoming “hip-hop’s first billionaire.”

Jay-Z followed with a total of $460 million. The list places heavy emphasis on his touring earnings, the sale of Rocawear in 2007 and $150 million LiveNation deal.

Dr. Dre hit the list at No. 3, with an estimated net worth of $270 million. For Dre’s recent bump in wealth, Forbes points to a $3oo million sale of his stake in Beats Electronics, the company he co-founded that produces the popular Beats headphones.

No. 4 went to Birdman, Mr. Cash Money. His estimated worth is set at $125 million, followed by 50 Cent, who was reported to have $110 million. 50 made a huge chunk of his wealth from selling off his Vitaminwater stake in 2007.

The guys invited MTV News to the set while they filmed the video for “Chasing The Sun” in Los Angeles. “You always want to do better than your last song, and we’ve always set a really high standard with ‘Glad You Came’ already,” Jay McGuiness told MTV. “We’re here to stay, and our songs are going to get better and better. I’m just bragging right now so hard.”

Meanwhile. Nathan Skyes was caught by TMZ while hanging out with fans and confirmed for their cameras that there is no beef between The Wanted and competing British boy band One Direction. When asked about intimidating One Diection, Sykes said, “I’m think we intimidate a lot of people, but I’m pretty sure we don’t intimidate other teenage boys.”

So, Justin Bieber comes on The Voice last night to debut clips of his new video for his son Boyfriend.  His new CD will be out June 19th.  After he talks to host Carson Daly he then walks down the steps to shake Adam Levine’s hand..although they hug it out..he moves onto Cee Lo..they hug it out..next is Christina and she isn’t even focusing on him..smug look on her face and she puts her hand out (almost like to kiss it) and he goes in for a hug and she akwardly hugs back.  He moves onto Blake and all goes well there. 

It just looked very rude.  I get that Christina was emotional and about to have to send one of her team home..but, it still looked quite weird. 

Maybe, they will do a song together and then I will forget about what I saw.  Ha!
