Ed Sheeran's Tour Of Ireland Inspires Heinz Ketchup flavored Ice Cream

Sheeran is OBSESSED with the stuff

May 14, 2018

An ice cream shop in Ireland has created one of the oddest flavors ever and it used a Pittsburgh culinary original to do it.

Gelati, in the town of Enniscrone have created a Heinz Ketchup flavored ice cream. The ice cream has a pinkish color to it and is topped with ketchup.

The store in County Cork developed the flavor in honor of musician Ed Sheeran’s tour of Ireland. Sheeran loves the red sauce so much he has a Heinz logo tattooed on his arm. It is also said he carries a bottle of the stuff wherever he goes.

Ed even visited the Heinz History Center when he came here to Pittsburgh!

We @gelati_icecream decided to welcome Ed Sheeran back to Ireland by creating his favourite flavour : Tomato ketchup!! Drop in for a free Ketchup cone if attending the concert ❗️---- @teddysphotos @edsheeran

On Facebook Gelati posted that anyone who brings a ticket stub from any of Sheeran’s Irish shows will receive a free ketchup cone.

Sheeran has yet to try the frozen “treat” for himself.
