Bloomfield's Little Italy Days Are Back

If You Love Everything Italian You'll Love This Festival

August 16, 2018

IT'S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR!!! At least in my neighborhood of Bloomfield, LITTLE ITALY DAYS!

Not even kidding, this is a holiday in my hood.

I even took Friday off! Mainly so I would have a parking spot, but also so I could indulge in the festa!

If you love Italian food and music, you're going to love Little Italy Days!

I've eaten my way through this festival for six years in a row, and it never dissappoints!

Some of my favorites you'll find infront of St. Maria Goretti Parish ( St. Joseph's Church) and the menu changes daily! Everything from homemade lasagna to eggplant parmigiana. Their tasty funnel cakes are also a sweet treat to counter the savory pasta dishes.

You'll find the best bowtie pasta at Sausalido's, and Italian eggrolls ( yes they're a thing) at Pleasure Bar!

Ciao bella!

Eggrolls aren't the only thing rolling down Liberty Avenue, a bocce tournament is happening, including the celebrity one which I'll be jumping in tonight at 6p!

Live cooking demos, including a pizza stretching demonstration, and a pasta eating contest are happening in the festival this year!

Check out their full entertainment schedule here

Try the three cheese tortellini, gnocchi that'll gnocchi your socks on, ravioli the size of Rome, and stuff your face with jumbo shells, manicotti, and baked ziti!

Gotta grab a slice of za from Angelo's and Caliente's too!

Wash it down with some wine that lines Liberty or a freshly squeezed lemonade!

I had just a little bit last year...

A full Italian mass happens on Sunday at 11:30am followed up a procession led by the Madonna that fills the street!

 Welcome to Bloomfield!

Don't forget to grab this awesomesauce shirt from Commonwealth Press!
